WSER Logo and Service Mark information

The cougar logo image, regardless of size or color variation, is a trademark of the Western States Endurance Run ("WSER"), all rights reserved.

"Western States Endurance Run," "Western States 100," and "Western States" are registered service marks under federal and state law. These service marks may not be used without express written permission from the Western States Endurance Run Foundation Board of Trustees.

Recognizing the traditional practice of WS runners making individualized T-shirts and the like for their pacers and crew, the Board of Trustees hereby grants permission to such runners to use the service marks for this precise purpose only, provided the items are produced as gifts and are not sold or offered for sale.

Except as permitted here, the Western States Endurance Run prohibits all other uses, which restriction ensures that our merchandise sales continue to provide needed financial support for protection of the Western States Trail and the Western States Run.

Requests for permission to reproduce or display the WS logo or service marks should be directed to the WS100 Webmaster. Permission must be obtained if the intended use is for a print publication, on-line as part of a website, or as an imprint on a garmet or other item to be offered for sale.
